Climbing in the Andes Mountains

In this report I will be talking about climbing in the Andes Mountains. The best place to be if you want to rock-climb and/or mountain climb is in the Andes Mountains.
It is known to be one of the most longest mountain range. The Andes are home to over fifty mountains higher than 20,000 feet and go across seven countries in South America. It is said that it runs 4,500 miles from north to south along the west coast of South America. It begins in Chile (the southern tip) and passes through Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, and Venezuela. The Andes have some of the largest and highest peeks in the world (height averaging about 13,000 feet above sea level and its highest 22,841 feet.)
The Andes are home to over fifty mountains higher than 20,000 feet and go across seven countries in South America. Along their length the Andes are split into several ranges which get separated by depressions. The Andes are the location of a lot of high plateaus some, which are the locations of major cities such as Santiago de Chile, Sucre, and La Paz. The Altiplano Plateau is most likely the second highest plateau along with the Tibetan Plateau. The Andes extend to seven countries, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.
Now I will be explaining about what the climate is like in that area, the animals, and what kind of trees are over that way and what not. First I will be talking about the climate. The climate is not the same through out the region because there are places that are more closer to the equator than some. The Andes are separated into three regions the southern, central, and northern. In the northern region, it is hot because it is the closest to the equator. There are also rain forests in this part, which the reason for that is because it's more humid and also a rainy climate. In the southern region the mountains are closer to the Antarctic and it is way much colder. In the central region the weather is more mild because it is not near the equator or the cold Antarctic. The largest herb in the world Puya raimondii, grows in this region and it can also survive at high elevations up to 13,000 feet. The herb can also live for 100 years. The herb's leaves grow from one big stem. Than it allows moisture to run down the leaves to the base of the plant. So during the hot and humidity times the plant can survive. Many of the plants that grow in the Andes Mountains are small in size so they can conserve energy. Their leaves can be strong to protect them from frost and cold weather if they are too high in the mountains.
This is what I have wrote about and now I am done talking about this. I hope you look into some of the things more and get more interested into it. I also hope you like this report that I wrote.
